Dr. Maria Jose Neira

Dentistry is what I do. Connecting with people is what makes me love it.

Originally from Nicaragua, Dr. Maria Neira has dedicated more than two decades to dentistry. Her professional journey has taken her from years in private practice to advanced training in Endodontics and, later, postgraduate training in General Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

At Nova, Dr. Neira distinguished herself through her dedication to patient care and clinical excellence, graduating at the top of her class and receiving the Clinical Excellence Award at graduation. These accomplishments reflect the same commitment to precision, continued learning, and high-quality dentistry that has guided her throughout her career.

Dr. Neira has also had the privilege of teaching and mentoring dental students - an experience that strengthened one of the things she values most in patient care: taking the time to listen, explain, and make people feel genuinely comfortable.

She has a special passion for preserving natural teeth, endodontic and restorative dentistry, and creating healthy, beautiful smiles that still look natural. She believes excellent dentistry should never feel rushed or impersonal. Every patient has a different story, different concerns, and different goals - and she wants them to feel heard from the moment they sit in her chair.

Her approach combines clinical precision with warmth and genuine connection. She enjoys helping patients understand their treatment options so they can feel comfortable and confident making decisions about their health and their smile.

When the scrubs come off, Dr. Neira is happiest spending time with her family, staying active at the gym, riding her bike, or enjoying a beautiful day at the beach. She embraces a healthy, active lifestyle and is also a lifelong animal lover.

 

And at home, there is one very special member of the family who deserves an introduction of her own: Ginger, her much-loved cat.

 

Whether she is caring for a patient, spending time with family, working out, or relaxing by the ocean, Dr. Neira tries to bring the same philosophy to everything she does:
